About the kit
Does this actually work, or is it another spray?
It works, and it helps to know why. The first three bottles remove what is on the glass. The fourth seals the surface so water beads instead of spreading. That last step is the part a normal cleaning spray does not do at all, and it is why the result holds instead of coming back in a fortnight.
My glass is already badly marked. Is it too late?
That is the case this kit was built for. Steps two and three exist specifically to pull bonded deposits back out of the surface. Very old damage that has etched deep can leave a faint shadow, but in almost every case the glass comes back clear.
Do I still have to squeegee?
Yes, and anyone telling you otherwise is overselling. The difference is that it becomes a quick pass rather than a scrub, because the water is already running off on its own instead of drying in place.
How long before I need to do it again?
Up to two years on the coating, depending on how hard your water is and how often the shower runs. The kit has a spare Glass Cleaner so you can keep the surface maintained between full applications.
Is it difficult to apply?
No. Each bottle is used in order, with the pads and cloths included. Work one panel at a time, let the coating cure, and keep the glass dry for a few hours afterwards.
Can I use it on anything besides shower glass?
Yes. Mirrors, glass partitions, balcony railings and windows all take the same treatment. Avoid it on anything with an existing factory coating already applied.
How do I order?
On WhatsApp. Tell us how big the screen is and how bad it looks right now, and we will tell you honestly whether one kit covers it.
Hard water and your glass
What are the white marks on my shower glass?
Minerals, mostly calcium and magnesium, left behind every time hard water dries on the glass, often mixed with soap scum. The full explanation is in why shower glass turns white.
Does vinegar damage shower glass?
Not the glass. Diluted white vinegar is safe on glass, but it can etch marble and other natural stone, and it is hard on some metal finishes and rubber seals if it is left on. Rinse it off when you are done.
Can hard water stains become permanent?
Yes. Left long enough, deposits can attack the surface of the glass itself. That is called etching, and at that point cleaning removes what sits on the glass but not the damage in it.
Will a water softener fix it?
A softener removes most of the hardness minerals from your water, so far fewer spots form. It is a bigger commitment (plumbing, salt, servicing) and it does nothing for stains that are already there.
Coatings
What is the difference between a nano coating and a glass cleaner?
A cleaner removes what is on the glass but leaves the glass unchanged, so the marks return. A coating bonds a thin water-repellent layer to clean glass so water beads and runs off. Most glass needs both, in that order: see nano coating vs glass cleaner.
How do I know the coating is still working?
Flick some water at the glass. If it forms beads and runs off, the coating is working. If it spreads into a sheet and sits there, it is time to re-seal.
Why do glass coatings fail?
Most often because they were applied over residue: glass that looked clean still had a thin layer of scale or soap. Coatings also fail when they are not left to cure, when they are scrubbed with abrasive pads or harsh cleaners, and simply with age. Hard water and heavy use wear them sooner.
